Stoneware is generally high fired and has a stone-like feel and texture with strength and durability.

Porcelain
Porcelain is glass-like translucent ware when it is thin. Porcelain bodies usually have china clay base. It is rather hard to work with during making and firing. It is fired at higher degree than stoneware.
